10 Karaoke Songs No One Wants To Hear

A panel of experts offered 25 tips for fail safe singing situations, including karaoke. Beyond their advice, someone who steps up to the mic at a karaoke bar should start with picking a song people actually want to hear - and not these tunes, which will have people scrambling faster than last call..
  • "Picture" by Kid Rock & Sheryl Crow
  • "American Pie" by Don McLean
  • "Hells Bells" by ac/dc
  • "Paradise by the Dashboard Lights" by Meatloaf
  • "The Rose" by Bette Midler
  • "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen
  • "Welcome To The Jungle" by Guns N Roses
  • "Me & Bobby McGee" by Janis Joplin
  • "Baby Got Back" by Sir Mix A Lot
  • "Don't Stop Believin'" by Journey

Never go in to a country tavern or bar and choose a Godsmack song. Never try to sing a 5 minute ballad, unless you plan on having everyone go outside for a cigarette break. Have fun! Upbeat or sing along songs are usually crowd pleasers. Rule of thumb, if you can't remember what the song title is when you go up to request it, you shouldn't be singing it in front of a crowd.
