Academy of Country Music Awards

Stars are shining in Las Vegas this weekend, as country music's biggest names descend upon Sin City for the 44th annual Academy of Country Music Awards.
Brad Paisley and George Strait lead the pack of nominees with seven nods each. Paisley has already won two early awards: Video of the Year for 'Waitin' on a Woman' and Vocal Event of the Year for his 'Start a Band' duet with Keith Urban. Paisley, Strait and Urban are all also up for the night's biggest award, Entertainer of the Year, along with Carrie Underwood and last year's winner, Kenny Chesney.
Reba McEntire will host the ACMs and will also perform, debuting her new single, 'Strange.'
The country icon says she's most looking forward to a surge of girl power on the show.
"I like to see what the girls are going to do," Reba said. "The guys ... they get up there and they sing. It's just that way, and the girls put on a better show."
The ACM Awards air live this Sunday at 8 PM on CBS. Also performing on the show will be Trace Adkins, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Jamey Johnson, Sugarland, George Strait, and Miley Cyrus.
